Christina Ann Beasley and James David Carter Jr. were married on Jan. 24 at Tabernacle of Praise in Mansfield. Dr. Jeffrey R. Perkins officiated the service.
The bride is the daughter of Ricky and Mary Beasley of Newborn. She is a graduate of Eastside High School and a magna cum laude graduate of Mercer University, where she earned a bachelor of arts in sociology and an individualized major in criminal justice. She is also graduate of the 46th Basic Parole Officer Training Course with the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles, POST Certified. She is currently employed with the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles as a senior parole officer.
The groom is the son of Ricky and Donna Edwards and David and Debra Carter, all of Covington. He is a graduate of Salem High School and became a certified EMT in 2006. He is currently employed with National EMS of Conyers as an EMT.
Jessica Matthews of Conyers served as the maid of honor. Deanna Sims of Mansfield served as the matron of honor. Lacey Spears of Nashville, Tenn., Andilyn Williamson of Warner Robins, and Waver Gilbert of Covington served as bridesmaids.
Ricky Edwards of Covington served as the best man. David Briscoe of Covington, Raybon Turner of Conyers, Bryan Shirley of Mansfield and Zachary Carey of Conyers served as groomsmen.
After a honeymoon trip on a Carnival Cruise to Nassau, Half Moon Key and Grand Turk, the couple will reside in Covington.
