The Salem boys soccer squad continued its torrent start with a 1-0 shutout over Spalding during the night cap Friday evening.
The victory came on the heels of a 3-1 win by the Lady Seminoles. Salem's Kwasi Yankey scored the lone goal with a superb finish in the lower corner. "Again, it was another outstanding performance by our defense," Salem coach Kurt Peters said. "We've only conceded one goal in four games and that's the result of a total team effort." Salem next visits Flowery Branch tonight. Its first home game of the season is against Clarke Central at 8 p.m. Friday.More like this story
