Conyers mother Pam Griffin and her 5-year-old grandson Garett Wright, a kindergartner at Young Americans Christian School, enjoyed part of their holiday break watching the new "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel" at Carmike Cinemas in Conyers. Students in Newton County and surrounding areas have been trying to keep busy with fun activities before they have to return to school next week. Newton County public school students will return from holiday break on Tuesday to start the second semester of the 2009-10 school year.
