COVINGTON — The re-opening of the Covington Municipal Airport has been delayed for at least the fourth time. The new date set for the re-opening is Tuesday according to Transportation Manager Billy Skinner.

One person dies in crash

COVINGTON — Cpl. Shane Allen of Georgia State Patrol Post 46 said the only traffic fatality the post worked during the Christmas holiday period occurred Sunday morning around 7:15 on Ga. Highway 138, near the Forrester Cemetery Road intersection in Walton County.

Airport authority vote set

COVINGTON — The City Council is expected to vote on the formation of an airport authority to oversee the Covington Municipal Airport at its Monday night meeting.
