Recently, the Newton County Special Olympics equestrian team traveled to Perry to compete against other special Olympians from all over the state.
Events included dressage, western horsemanship and showmanship.
Participants included Malik Watson, Micah Watson, Celeste Hall, Travis Ransom, Cory Conrad, Michael Roper, Sarah Maddox, Taylor Bradley, Xavier Canaday, Beau Worley, Lucy McDonald, Gabby Crews, Chance Gilbert, Aislin Gates, Nick Slade, Elyse Keup and Kristina Underwood.
