Three students from Piedmont Academy received ribbons and a cash prize for their art pieces they submitted to the Georgia State Fair in Perry, Georgia.
Dakota Collins received third place on his art piece, which was a print he made from a hand-carved block. He printed the image from the block onto paper with printer's opaque ink.
Marissa Mooneyham and Parker Kelly received honorable mention on their pieces. The girls did pieces based on Aboriginal art. They used markers to render their pieces.
The school's art teacher is Eleanor Stone.
