Princess Aurora, also known as "Sleeping Beauty," will make an appearance at Porter Memorial Hall, adjacent to Newton High School, Friday and Sunday. Dancers with the Covington Regional Ballet will bring the favorite fairy tale to life. Shown here during dress rehearsal is Prince Desiré, portrayed by freelance dancer Peter Swan, as he is attacked by two gremlins portrayed by Sarah Lanners (on his back) and Anna Wagner. The gremlins are trying to prevent him reaching Princess Aurora for the kiss that will awaken her. Tickets are $18 for adults; $15 for senior citizens; and $10 for students and children. Friday's performance is at 7 p.m. and Sunday's matinee is at 3 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at www.newtoncountyarts.org or by calling 770-786-8188.
