Mr. and Mrs. John Yancey Burks of Bowling Green, Ky. announce the engagement of their daughter, Martha-Evelyn Farley Burks of Bowling Green, to William Rogers Andersen of Conyers, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Mann Andersen of Conyers.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dr. Gene C. Farley of Bowling Green. She is a graduate of Greenwood High School and a graduate of Mercer University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in middle grades education. She is currently employed with Teach for America and Atlanta Public Schools.
The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas Rogers of Conyers, and the late Mr. David H. Andersen and Mrs. Floria Mann Andersen of Conyers. He is a graduate of Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology and plans to graduate from Mercer University College of Pharmacy in May. He is currently employed with CVS Pharmacy in Atlanta.
The couple plans to wed on June 6 at First Baptist Church of Bowling Green.
