The Job: Board of Commissioners, District 1
County commissioners are elected to four-year terms and must reside in the district they represent. Commissioners set the county's annual budget and millage rate, which determines property tax assessed in the county. They vote on various issues affecting the county, including rezonings, and oversee certain functions of county government.
