Approximately 50 Newton County residents came to the Square on Thursday to recall the events of Sept. 11. The Cry Out America event was organized by Tom Davis, a member of Prospect United Methodist Church. The program featured Scripture reading, prayer and singing, which included music from the trio Generations, who performed "Remember Me," and recorded music titled, "In God We Trust." Cry Out America is a national non-denominational movement of Christians calling for spiritual awakening.
