Jim Morrow, left, executive director of Service Extension with The Salvation Army, presents Newton County resident James Bohannon with a plaque honoring him as a lifetime member of the organization. Bohannon is one of three charter members of the Newton County Service Unit which was established in 1966. During his 32 years of service, he served as secretary and treasurer as well as social services director for the group.
