Franklin Co. sweeps Salem at tournament

Franklin County swept a pair of games over Salem on Saturday afternoon during the Jefferson High School Thanksgiving Tournament.

In the boys game, Salem (1-1) fell 77-63.

Franklin County's Rico Mayfield had a team-high 14 points. Stan Maxwell added 13.

In the girls game, the Lady Seminoles (1-1) were also handed their first loss of the season 52-51.

Salem's Precious Elkins recorded a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Jaleen Thomas added 15 points.
