Dr. Catherine Ann Coomer formerly of Conyers and Dr. Michael Davidson Brown of Birmingham, Ala., were married Oct. 18 at the bride's family home on Waverly Creek in White Oak, Ga. Dr. David Allen of Savannah officiated the service.
The bride is the daughter of Charles Edward and Margaret Wallace Coomer of White Oak.
The groom is the son of Renée Parzen Brown of Sharon, Ga., and Lawrence Carl Brown of Istanbul, Turkey.
Christina Lynn Coomer of North Augusta, S.C., sister of the bride, served as the maid of honor. Dr. Josephine Maher Clingan of New York, N.Y., and Dr. Shannon L. Carroll of Knoxville, Tenn., both friends of the bride, served as bridesmaids. The attendants wore tea length satin gowns designed by Bill Kevkoff. Kacy Davis of Phoenix, Ariz., niece of the bride, served as the flower girl.
Dr. Bennett Grimm of Charleston, S.C., friend, served as the best man. Dr. Michael Dallman of Charleston, S.C., and Dr. Edward Green of Charlotte, N.C., friends, served as groomsmen. Jim Davis of Phoenix, Ariz., brother of the bride; Mason Davis of Phoenix, Ariz., nephew of the bride; Phil Stacy and Brendan Stacy, both of North Augusta, S.C., friends, served as ushers. Carter Davis of Phoenix, Ariz., nephew of the bride and Benjamin Brown of Jacksonville, Fla., nephew of the groom, served as ring bearers. Caitlin McCarville, cousin of the bride, was the vocalist for the wedding.
The bride was given away in marriage by her father, Charles E. Coomer Jr. Her dress was an ivory silk bridal gown designed for her by Lila Couture. The veil was handmade for the bride by Adriana Orozco made of ivory French tulle. She carried a bouquet of stargazer lilies, wine roses and eucalyptus sprigs.
After a honeymoon trip to Whitehouse, Jamaica, both the bride and the groom returned to Birmingham, Ala., to complete their residencies in internal medicine at the University of Alabama.
