ATLANTA - Greg Norton doubled home the tying run and then scored on Brian McCann's single in the ninth inning, rallying the Atlanta Braves over the Seattle Mariners 5-4 Saturday night.
The Braves won for the first time in 30 games this season when trailing after eight innings. With All-Star closer J.J. Putz on the 15-day disabled list with a hyperextended pitching elbow and backup closer Brandon Morrow in Seattle recovering from back spasms, Seattle turned to Miguel Batista to protect a 4-3 lead in the ninth. Batista (3-9) blew the save - and the game - without recording an out.More like this story
