Newborn resident Earl Tolleson assists customer Marsha Harris in selecting just the right watermelon at his trailer parked in Neely's Seafood Restaurant parking lot on Brown Bridge Road. Tolleson said he brought in 10,120 pounds of ripe watermelons from Valdosta that were picked last Saturday. He said most folks select their watermelons by either patting or thumbing them.More like this story
