Hot and humid was certainly the order of the day Tuesday, and motorists driving by the Newton Federal Bank probably felt even hotter when they saw the temperature surge to the 100-degree mark. Prognosticators said it may cool slightly as much-needed rain comes to the area the latter part of the week.
