Oxford Lions Club member Richard Henderson and his wife, Nancy, recently traveled to Thailand where Richard was installed as one of Georgia District Governors for Lions International. The convention drew 18,000 Lions representing 110 countries from around the world. Henderson will be responsible for 41 clubs within his district. He has been a member of the Oxford club for eight years and has held local, zone, region and district positions. The club meets at 7 p.m. the first and third Thursdays of every month in the Oxford Community Room. Lions Club International is the world's largest service club. Lions aid the blind and visually impaired and have a strong commitment to community service and serving youth. For more information, visit www.lionsclubs.org.
