COVINGTON - The Covington Police Department has arrested two men in connection with a recent burglary of a unit at Spiller's Storage on Washington Street, according to Detective D.J. Seals.
Robert Michael Fox, 38, of 7420 Washington St., and Terry Michael Johnson, 30, of 6 Magnolia St. in Porterdale were arrested Tuesday and charged with burglary in connection with household items being removed from a storage unit sometime around Sunday, Seals said. "Through really good patrol work, help from the victim and help from Spillers Storage, we were able to identify some suspects. We started looking around and interviewing people and were able to make these two arrests," he said. Seals said the two are being questioned about two other burglaries at the facility that took place around June 6 and again June 30. Household items were also removed from the units involved in those burglaries, and Seals said entry into the facilities were similar. "We're still interviewing and looking to see if there is a connection between these two and other burglaries," the detective said. "If I find a connection, I'll charge them with those as well." He said both men were arrested without incident near their homes. Barbara Knowles can be reached at barbara.knowles@newtoncitizen.com.More like this story
