Force to hold seat selecting event at arena · DULUTH - The Georgia Force will hold a seat selection event Wednesday to allow fans to purchase season tickets and select their seat location. The event will run from 6-9 p.m. at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Ticket packages begin at $9 a game and seating is based o> Stowes shines at Reinhardt Reinhardt senior Victor Stowes, who played at South Gwinnett, leads his team in scoring (16.3) and also averages 4.2 assists and 3.8 rebounds. The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder has played in just six games for a 4-14 team. Stowes, the brother of Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens, had 30 points, five rebounds and four assists in Reinhardt's last game, a 73-70 win over Emmanuel. Prehmus shines for Hampden-Sydney Wesleyan grad Drew Prehmus averages double figures and is the team captain for the Hampden-Sydney (Va.) men's basketball team. Prehmus averages 13.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists for an 8-4 team. He has made 36 of 83 shots from 3-point range (43.4 percent). His best game this season has been 29 points and 11 rebounds against Averett. The 6-foot-5 senior is considered as a top candidate for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award. Green nationally ranked Piedmont College senior Jake Green, a North Gwinnett grad, leads the Great South Athletic Conference in assists and steals and also ranks nationally in three categories. Green ranks 20th nationally in assists per game (5.9), 34th in steals (2.7) and 140th in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.48). SWIMMING/DIVING Creighton named diver of the week Brookwood grad Katie Creighton, a junior at Georgia Southern, was named the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association Diver of the Week for her performances against New Orleans and the Savannah College of Art and Design. Creighton won the 1-meter diving competition with a score of 190.95 and placed second in the 3-meter event with a score fo 179.78. FOOTBALL Adams gets postseason honor Norcross resident Kyle Adams, a Marist grad and a senior football player at Lehigh, was named to the Sports Network All-American Team last week. Adams made 52 tackles from his defensive line position this past season. Gwinnett Grads is a column that runs on Saturdays spotlighting the achievements of past Gwinnett standouts.
