Mark Shirah, owner of Elm St. Pawn, said his wife told him they were out of wood, so he took steps to replenish his own supply. Shirah has been selling red oak, white oak and hickory woods from his Elm Street location for the past three years and said he's noted that with the increase in price of home heating fuel, consumers are returning to using fireplaces and wood burning stoves.More like this story
