The Conyers Garden Club met at the home of Susan Dodd on Nov. 13, with Susan Hicks and Joyce Andrews as hostesses. The members received a most informative program led by Elaine Nash of the Georgia Exotic Pest Plant Council. Ms. Nash discussed and identified native intrusive plants. She also gave the names and habitats of many Georgia native plants. These were pointed out as the members walked through the woods to the lake on Ms. Dodd's property.
Next, on Dec. 11, the Conyers Garden Club held its Christmas meeting at Beverly Rohrabaug's farm. The hostesses were Kathy Williams and Susan Klem. A highlight of the meeting was the traditional wrapping of Christmas gifts in all natural materials. Before opening the gifts, members shared how they created the packages. It was a festive, holiday gathering.More like this story
