MOUNT AIRY - The Heritage girls soccer team moved to 3-0 on the season after capturing a 6-0 road win over Habersham Central on Saturday.
The Lady Patriots were up 2-0 at halftime and scored four second-half goals to make it a runaway win. Megan Drish scored the first goal of the game, taking a pass from Nadia Bryan and placing it in the upper left-hand corner of the goal. Constance Bates showed off some fancy footwork to score Heritage's second goal, dribbling through the defense for the unassisted score. After the break, Michelle Borg scored the first of her two second-half goals with a rocket shot into the back of the net. Bates then scored her second goal of the contest, this one coming off a penalty kick. Borg's second score, which was much like her first goal, put the Lady Patriots up 5-0. Brittany Gray capped the scoring with a goal from 18 yards out to make the final tally 6-0.More like this story
