CONYERS - Good fortune smiled on the Salem girls basketball team at the coaches' meeting for the Region 8-AAAA Tournament on Sunday.

The Lady Seminoles won a three-way coin clip with Heritage and Cedar Shoals and claimed the No. 1 seed from 8-AAAA South for the tournament, which starts today at Dacula High School.

The Heritage girls picked up the No. 2 seed from 8-AAAA South, while Cedar Shoals is the No. 3 seed.
