Marshall and Patricia King announce the marriage of their daughter, Kerrie Lee, to Nathan Andrew Walker, son of Andy
and Sherry Walker of Covington. The couple married Sept. 1.
Kerrie is a 2007 graduate of the University of Connecticut with a degree in political science. She is employed part-time while she attends school for her master's degree.
Nathan is the grandson of Ruth and Albert Walker of Elizabethton, Tenn., and Lily Berlet of Covington. He is a 2003 graduate of Mount Vernon Christian School and is employed by the U.S. Navy. He is a second class petty officer on board the U.S. Albany fast attack submarine as an electronics technician.
The wedding and reception were held at Wright's Mill Farm in Canterbury, Conn. The maid of honor was Katy King. The bridesmaids were Bethany Wilson and Crystal Desaulnier, both of Oakdale, Conn., Katy Mather of East Lyme, Conn., and Christyn Walker of Covington. The flower girls were Mackenzie Milner and Kaycie Johnson, both of East Lyme, Conn. The bridesmaids wore tea length pale yellow halter dresses and carried bouquets of white roses.
The best man was Jonathan Matthews of Conyers. Groomsmen were Tim Bailey of Alexandria, Va., Jonathan Walls of Strasburg, Pa., Andy Walker of Covington and Patrick Finucayne of Ledyard, Conn. The men wore black tuxedos with yellow vests.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length strapless white gown with all-over beaded corded lace and a chapel-length train. She wore a birdcage veil and carried a bouquet of white roses. The groom wore a black tuxedo with a white vest.
After a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple resides in Virginia Beach, Va., where the groom is stationed at the Norfolk Naval Base.
