At Suwanee, Derrick Henry fired in 19 points as the Rams (9-0) advanced to the semifinals of the Powerade Festival with an easy win over Alpharetta.

Jamon Hawkins added 15 points, Charles Edwards chipped in 14 and Tee Farley finished with 12 for the Rams, who are ranked No. 9 in Class AAAAA.

Newton will meet North Gwinnett in the semifinals at 8 p.m. Monday.

"We played well. We had a 13-0 run toward the end of the first quarter and all of a sudden were up 19-9. They hung in there for a while, but that was pretty much it, " Newton coach Rick Rasmussen said. "We only had three turnovers as a team, which is excellent. We shared the ball and finished with 18 assists. It was a good tuneup game for the rest of the tournament."
