The Newton County Miss Sweetheart Relay Queens represented the Newton County Relay for Life in the Covington Christmas Parade held Dec. 6. They rode in the back of Ford F-250 truck, decorated with posters they made urging everyone to come out and support the Relay, which will be held April 24 at The Church of Covington. A deserved tribute

Well-wishers, family and friends gathered to pay tribute to Wheeler for his 20 years of service as Newton County Coroner. In addition to accolades from friends and co-workers, Wheeler received a plaque of appreciation from the Newton County Sheriff's Office, a proclamation paying tribute to his service to the county and state from Gov. Sonny Perdue, and a flag that flew over the state capitol in his honor.
