Newton Citizen
Ninth-grade language arts classes at Alcovy High School had an in-school field trip Friday morning. The Georgia Shakespeare Company performed an updated version of "Romeo and Juliet" in the school's auditorium. In this version, set in modern-day New Orleans, Kate Graham as Juliet and Bobby Lambartino as Romeo recreate the famous balcony scene in the play. After the performance, the group held a question-and-answer session, during which the students, who have studied the play this school year, had the opportunity to ask the actors questions. The Georgia Shakespeare Company performs productions and educational programs inspired by William Shakespeare and other playwrights in and around Atlanta.
