'Decade of Dedication'

Covington Campus of DeKalb Technical College will celebrate its 10-year anniversary in a program at 3 p.m. on Oct. 25 on the campus, 16200 Alcovy Road in Covington. A fall fest will immediately follow the program. The public is invited.

So Kids Can Eat

Salem High School's Thespian Troupe 5120 will be collecting non-perishable food items throughout the Salem High School District during the month of October. Items will be delivered to Rockdale Emergency Relief Fund as part of the "Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat" program. The troupe will be located at the Kroger store on Ga. 'Crimes of the Heart'

Habitat for Humanity Conyers-Rockdale operates a surplus store, located at 1117 West Ave. in the Rockdale Plaza Shopping Center. Repairers of the Breach

Repairers of the Breach, a nonprofit organization in Newton and surrounding counties, sponsors a children's and senior adult Christmas for the needy each year. Donations of food, furniture, new toys, clothing, blankets, items for teenagers and money will all be welcome and may be made Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Old Brown Bridge Road location in Covington. Critical Need
