Top, members of St. Augustine's Church, located at 11524 U.S. Highway 278, are busy preparing for its annual Pax Christi Holiday Sale on Saturday and Sunday. Hours are from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. Here, sale organizers, from left to right, Suze Quinlan, Liz Loescher and Darlene Cox arrange items from Ten Thousand Villages, which will be on sale over the weekend. The merchandise is handmade by artisans from more than 30 countries and encompasses a wide variety of items that make ideal gifts for the holidays. Funds from purchasing the items will pay for food, education, health care and housing for the artists living in poverty-stricken areas of the world. Bottom, 2-year-old Ellie Quinlan has already picked out her gift and tried it out as her mom helps unpack merchandise.
