Miss Hayden Ward and Mr. Craig Kelly were married on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at 4:30 p.m. at Social Circle United Methodist Church in Social Circle. The Rev William Hodge officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hine of Conyers and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ward of Lawrenceville.
The groom's parents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Martin J. Kelly Jr. of Cheshire, Conn.
The bride wore a diamond white Melissa Sweet gown with a dotted Swiss silk organza six-layer overlay and a sweetheart neckline with matching sash. She carried a white bouquet of gardenias, lizianthus and roses. She wore gardenias in her hair and diamond drop earrings borrowed from an aunt.
The bride's sister, Ashley Ward Starkey of New York, served as matron of honor. Bridemaids and male attendant were Elena Cizmaric of Atlanta, Tanya Washington and Dr. Doug Kwon, both of New York. Anne Marie Ward, sister of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid. Laura Beth Horne of Louisville, Ala., served as the flower girl, and the ring bearer was Hess Horne of Clayton, Ala., cousins of the bride.
H.J. Willcox of Darien, Conn., served as the groom's best man. Groomsmen were Matt Deloca of Millburn, N.J., Josh Trager of Darien, Conn., and Tom Boals of Pine Hurst, N.C. Jack McBrayer of New York and Murphy Gilson of Los Angeles were the readers.
The bride was preceded down the aisle by Collective Voice Gospel Choir singing "Oh Happy Day." During the double ring ceremony, Ashley Ward Starkey sang "How Great Thou Art." As the guests recessed out of the church, the choir sang "Let The Sunshine In," Wedding party and guests walked to a reception at Magnolia Hall for a night of dinner and dancing under the stars.
After a honeymoon in Italy, the couple resides in Atlanta.
The couple was honored with several parties in Atlanta and Conyers prior to the wedding. A bridal tea shower honoring the bride-elect was given by Pam Hinesley, Judy Sims, Lynn Harwell, Fran McWilliams, Carol Long and Linda Foster. A bridal luncheon at Great Waters was hosted by Jeanne Talley, Marilyn Motley and Margaret Ingram. A luncheon was given by Julia Flynt and Glenda Doster. Terry Lockman and Jennifer Senator hosted a cocktail buffet at the Lockman home in Decatur. Bonny Bryant, Kathy Fowler, Karen Burdell, Kay Ulmer, Kathleen Nichols and Florence Norris hosted a barbecue for out-of-town guests at The Brady Inn in Madison.
