HHS presents 'High School Musical'

CONYERS - A little Disney will be brought to Heritage High School this month.

The school's Patriot Players will perform its production of Disney's "High School Musical" until Nov. 18.

"The cast and crew have been preparing for this first musical of the school year since August," said Michelle Thorne, theater teacher at Heritage High School. "From sewing costumes to putting the programs together, the students in the drama department at Heritage have been busy getting this show ready for the community."

She said the production is very close to the original movie "with the additions of a few songs and characters."

"The students have loved being involved in a musical that is so currently popular," Thorne said. "They feel like celebrities wherever they go."

The performances are held at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 10, 11, 15, 16 and 17; and at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 10, 11, 17 and 18 at the school.

The group will hold two "High School Musical" pep rallies at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday and Nov. 17.

Tickets are $5 for students and senior citizens and $10 for adults. Tickets can be reserved by calling the box office at 770-761-9073.
