CONYERS - The Conyers Middle School Tri-M Music Honor Society will be seen by more than only Conyers residents. Schools around the state will get a chance to see what the group is all about.
The group is featured in the fall edition of the Georgia Music News Magazine, a magazine given to Georgia Music Educators Association's music teachers.
"They look for articles and updates from the various regions in the state," said Christine Bruns, the school's choral director, said about the magazine. "I submitted a small write-up about the Tri-M Chapter, and then was contacted by the editor for more information and pictures in order to create a full-length feature."
The group ended up with a two-page spread that talked about the group's students, their activities, winning first runner-up in the nation as a Tri-M Jr. Chapter of the Year and pictures from their events.
"It was a pleasant surprise and a wonderful recognition for these students who worked very hard last year," Bruns said. "They thought it was great."
Copies of the feature is posted in the school's media center, workroom, parent center and main office.
