COVINGTON - A 17-year-old senior at Eastside High School was arrested and charged with public indecency Thursday after he allegedly exposed himself to three female students the night before.
About 8:30 a.m., Newton County Sheriff's Office Deputy Mac Hays responded to the office of Principal Dr. Robert Daria, who told the deputy the suspect, Julian Alan Jamison Sissle, 17, of Covington had reportedly exposed his genitals to the students between 7 and 8 p.m. Wednesday in the gym, according to an NCSO incident report. "(Daria) stated that Sissle walked into the locker room where three female students were and in a lewd way, exposed his sexual organs to them," Hays said. The victims subsequently reported the incident to a coach, who later informed a school administrator. Daria interviewed Sissle, the victims and the coach the next day and notified authorities. According to Sherri Viniard, spokesman for the Newton County School System, Sissle has been suspended from school. "Obviously, this type of behavior is completely inappropriate," she said.
