Awards given to Covington Christmas parade participants

COVINGTON - The 2007 Covington Christmas Parade, held Saturday in downtown Covington, saw a turnout of 150 entries, with more than 3,000 participants, the Covington Lions Club reported.

Highlights of the event included the recognition of Eric Adams, Newton County's Teacher of the Year, who served as grand marshal, and Mayor Sam Ramsey, who served as the honorary grand marshal.

Float entries were evaluated by a panel of judges. The following is a list of winners:
