Family and friends will be celebrating Ruby Franklin's 100th birthday today, Nov. 30, 2007. A party will be given by her children: Molly and Stewart Roberts, Norman and Katrina Franklin and Carol and Neal Harrelson, at the Rockdale Healthcare Center in Conyers.
Ruby Franklin was born in Conyers, Rockdale County. Her parents are John S. and Mollie Cook. She was married to the late Willard Franklin for 67 years. He passed away in 1995. She is known as a very creative woman. She ran Joy Florist as a business in Lithonia for 12 years. In her spare time she painted, crocheted beautiful afghans and shawls, and did quilting. She was active in her Lithonia church, First United Methodist, until she became housebound.More like this story
